| A perfect girl's night out weekend is in New York City. New York City is a place to spend the weekend and it will be a very interesting visit. After five long years of gap I spent the whole weekend there with one girl friend. I booked a room in the Sheraton New York hotel. New York is the most populous city in the United States, and the center of the New York metropolitan area, which is one of the most populous urban areas in the world. The city is often referred to as New York City to differentiate it from the state of New York, of which it is a part. First we went and stayed in Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers, and then after quick refreshment we went to visit the parks in New York City. New York City has over 28,000 acres of municipal parkland and 14 miles of public beaches. This parkland is augmented by thousands of acres of Gateway National Recreation Area, part of the National Park system, that lies within city boundaries. The Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, the only wildlife refuge in the National Park System, alone is over 9,000 acres of marsh islands. And I spent the whole evening in Jamaica Bay. And then for dinner and lunch we went to Hilton hotel where they followed a Traditional American cuisine using ingredients such as turkey, white-tailed deer venison, potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, squash, and maple syrup, indigenous foods employed by American Indians and early European settlers. Slow-cooked pork and beef barbecue, crab cakes, potato chips, and chocolate chip cookies are distinctively American styles. Soul food, developed by African slaves, is popular around the South and among many African Americans elsewhere. Then we visited many shopping plazas and purchased many items like shoes, dresses and perfumes. Thus for girls to have a safe weekend and to enjoy their time, New York City is once such optimal place. |
